10 First Date Preparations Every Man Should Know

Every time a girl went out on a date the night wouldn’t be complete without dating preparations, which not a lot of men understand about women. As much as women want to look perfect enough for their dates, it is also important for men to put a little effort and make enough preparations prior to his first date with the woman he wants to win over.

So what are the proper preparations men can do before the first date? Below are some of it:

1. Research, research, research! It is important to know what she likes, especially because this is the first time that you will be going out with her on a date. Try to research on the things that interests her (and you, of course) and see how can you spice it up. If you have common friends or friends of her that you know, you may want to start asking them about the things that seems fun for her. However, you may want to keep them from spilling it to her so as not to spoil the surprise.

2. Come up with a plan. While going with the flow seems to be quite an adventure, coming up with a plan on a date is still the best option. Try to come up with at least plan A and B, just in case the original plan didn’t work out. Should both plans fail to work, don’t be afraid to ask her what she likes to do and where she wants to go (but avoid sounding like your plans failed).

3. Dress Appropriately. Men go crazy when women spend so much time deciding what to wear without realizing the whole point of dressing up for various occasions. You don’t need to spend the whole night thinking how you would dress and look like George Clooney or Robert Pattinson, but appropriate attire is definitely a plus point during a first date. Consider the places you are about to go and from there, base the clothes you are going to wear. Remember that you should dress NOT to impress, but to let her see your personality

4. Clean Up. Smell Good. Prior to dressing up appropriately and looking good, make sure that you soak in a bath before you pick her up for the date. How you smell matters the most to women so make sure that you keep foul odors away by taking a long bath and spraying a perfume on your body a few hours before you meet (but make sure not to go overboard with the perfume so as not to overpower her with your scent).

5. Don’t Stress! Prior to your date, always try not to stress yourself out. Being totally stressed out not only drives your date away, you’re also inviting disaster and ruining all your chances. Be sure you are well rested and that you’re not physically tired before your date.

6. Clean Your Schedule. If you are having your first date with the girl you want to win over, make sure that your day is free from any distractions, such as a friends’ night out, family gatherings, meetings at work and anything that will ruin your chances with her.

7. Get Some Cash Out. While spending too much isn’t necessary for a first date, it is also important that you have an extra cash on your pocket just in case your credit cards get declined during the date. Also, you may want to pay for the first date, as you are trying to impress her so be man enough to shoulder the bill after dinner or lunch.

8. Don’t Be Late. It may not be ok for both parties to be late on your first date, but it’s not even funny when the late comer is the guy. Try to be as early as possible than the girl you are meeting.

9. Watch Your Drink. During the first date, try not to drink too much as you are still trying to make a good impression with your date. Also, as cliché as it may sound, don’t drink and drive.

10. Watch Your Manners. This is the most important out of the ten. Putting your best foot forward isn’t necessary especially if doing it will make you seem like you’re a totally different person. Respect the girl and just be yourself during the date.
